Great local spot for breakfast in Allentown, New Jersey

Allentown, New Jersey is one of the most beautiful cities in the Garden State. Picturesque main street where shops are open for the holidays and streets are closed for the arrival of Santa Claus.

A few months ago I was invited to the opening of the Firefighters Museum in small town New Jersey and had the opportunity to tour the town with some retired firefighters.

On the way we passed a small storefront cafe called Woody’s.

Of course I asked about it and everyone gave rave reviews. So on the weekend we went to mass with the family at St. Vincent de Paul, where our grumpy Father Stan is the priest and his sermon did not disappoint.

After the show we went to meet Jill Myra from New Jersey Traffic South at Woody’s.

The sausage, egg and cheese on a “wooden roll” was perfect. Perfectly cooked eggs, melted cheese and a generous amount of sausage.

As a man who grew up outside of Philly, of course I had to order the scrapple as a side. Perfection.

Call me on the New Jersey 101.5 app and let me know if you’ve been to Woody’s or just plug in your breakfast spot.

Note that Woody’s is also open for lunch and dinner. Yes, we’ll be back for both.
