Guitarist for the legendary rock band suffers on the stage of medical emergencies

Miami – Don Felder, long -time lead guitarist of the legendary rock band The Eagles, needed medical help during a recent performance on board a cruise ship after being visibly unsure on Thursday and had to be helped by the stage.

The 77 -year -old field came as part of the Rock Legends Cruise, the annual seafaring festival, which sailed from Miami on Thursday. In addition to fields, this year’s line -up Alice Cooper, Styx, John Waite, Foghat and Robin Trower comprises this year.

In a clip published by an audience on YouTube, fields can be seen as he holds a guitar when he tells a humorous story during his set.

“I met this great guy down there. We stayed up until around 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m. the next morning, drank, told stories, laugh and have the best time, ”Felder told the audience before unveiling the punch line.

“Until I found out that his last name was Cuervo,” he added, joking over the alcohol brand. “At that point I wouldn’t drink Tequila again.”

Felder then dedicated “Tequila Sunrise” to his former The Eagles bandmate Glenn Frey, who died in 2016.

When he and the band began to play the song, fields fluctuated and then stamped a few steps. At that time, a stage manager hurries on the stage and helps him to stabilize it. Then she and the other musicians helped fields out of the stage.

On Friday, Felder’s team released an explanation on his Instagram account and assured the fans that he would be fine.

“We appreciate the concern of everyone in terms of Don Felder’s abrupt stop for his show last night on Rock Legends Cruise,” said the Instagram post. “After receiving medical help, he was seen as dehydration. He received liquids and feels much better. ”

In the team message, Felder’s schedule was revised to ensure that he “has enough time to rehydrate and recover fully”, and thanked the fans for their understanding and asked them to remember drinking their water.

Felder came to the Eagles in 1974 in the early years. He was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Eagles in 1998.

He stayed with the group until he was released by Frey and Don Henley in 2001.
