Gulfport Seaes returns from almost seven months of use in Guam

Gulfport, Miss. (WLOX) – More than a hundred Seebeees arrived with a number of relatives outside the Seabee Heritage Center at the base in Gulfport and returned home from an almost seven -month use in Guam.

For Elise Dhamodharan it was difficult to get used to the lack of her brother Ethan. She came all the way from Massachusetts to see his return.

“It was difficult not to have him so close. We have always been a very narrow family, so it was a challenge, but we are so proud and it was an amazing experience for him,” said Dhamodharan.

Ethan’s girlfriend was also under the crowd to welcome her house in Seabee.

“I am very excited to have him home and just hug him. I usually see him once a month, but seven months are a long time without a visit,” said Ethan’s girlfriend.

They were not the only ones who were reunited with their partner. This was his seventh commitment for Seabee Alexander Brown.

“It is like having a home to get home,” he said.

“It is exciting. This is the first to come home and I have been waiting for someone here,” said Brown.
