Harrison Ford’s grandchildren are very rarely seen alongside their famous father Ben on social media

Harrison Ford may prefer to keep his own life off social media, but his son Ben Ford has developed a public presence of his own.

Ben, 58, is the eldest of the legendary actor’s five children. The 82-year-old shares Ben and Willard, 55, with his ex-wife Mary Marquardt. With Melissa Mathison he welcomed Malcolm (36) and Georgia (34). And he adopted youngest son Liam Flockhart, 23, when he married his wife Calista Flockhart in 2009.

Ben is a father himself and has 24-year-old son Ethan with his first wife and 13-year-old son Waylon with his second wife Emily. Ben and Emily’s divorce was finalized in March this year after 15 years of marriage.

Dru posted a clip of Ben and his two boys operating a Pilates machine, and It was clear to see how much the boys resembled their fathereveryone sports tousled and curly brown hair, just like their famous father. “Daddy and his boys,” she captioned the clip. Check it out below…

On Father’s Day in 2021, Ben posted an extensive tribute to fatherhood and his two sons, as well as a pair of photos of them together, showing all three side by side over the years.

“Becoming a father has been the most extraordinary journey of my life,” he wrote. “I had to erase what it meant to be a father and learn what it meant to be a father.”

He explained his own relationship with fatherhood, including what he learned from his own famous father and why he had to work hard to fulfill that role. “My children needed someone to be an active participant in their lives.”

“A father who cared for her. A father who was present mentally, physically and spiritually. They needed attunement. They needed a connection. They needed someone who was emotionally available. None of this came naturally to me.”

Ben continued: “I have spent so much time thinking about what it means to be a father. It means putting my oxygen mask on first without being selfish. They show me that it’s never about them, it’s always about me.”

He also released a tribute to Harrison for the occasion, including several throwbacks. I still need to go fully digital. While searching through my boxes of lost or fading memories, I found a few gems.

“This first photo was taken by the late Camillia McGrath and is one of my favorite photos with my father,” he explained of the childhood snapshot. “The latter was taken during one of our backyard barbecues. Happy Father’s Day to the best in the business and to all the other dads out there helping to create memories for their children.”
