Help Place of Hope make the holidays special for children in need

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — CBS12 is partnering with Place of Hope to collect unwrapped toys and money to support children in need this holiday season.

Place of Hope’s goal is to make the holidays special for the people in its care and in our community. Many who call Place of Hope “home” will celebrate Hanukkah or Christmas for the first time this year. These holidays are an opportunity for us to give them joy, faith, hope and love.

For the children at Place of Hope Neighborhood Foster Care Cottages, they will celebrate the joy of the season in a safe and loving home with their foster siblings and cottage parents who introduce new traditions, from cooking together to opening presents together.

For older foster children and homeless youth, a warm bed surrounded by friends and new family is just the beginning. These teens will also learn how to implement their own traditions as they grow into healthy independence, including preparing traditional holiday dishes for their own future families!

We help our single mothers give their little ones a happy and worry-free Christmas season. Finally, we continue to bring hope and love with essential material support, holiday gifts and food to families in our community who are in crisis.

With full bellies and bright eyes, thousands of children and families will have a wonderful holiday thanks to your generosity.
