Here’s how to get some great deals on “Travel Tuesday.”

There’s Black Friday for in-store deals, Cyber Monday for online bargains, and a current trend: Travel Tuesday.

“It’s the travel industry’s version of Black Friday,” said Expedia travel expert Christie Hudson.

Hudson said many airlines, cruise lines and hotels reduce their prices on the Tuesday after Black Friday.

“Expedia and Hotels.com offer 30% discounts on hotels. Expedia is offering 10% off select flights,” Hudson said.

You can save up to 20% at some Hyatt hotels if you book by December 9, according to the website.

Hilton.com is offering up to 40% off some of its Las Vegas hotels.

And Marriott is offering members up to 25% off some of its hotels when you book by Travel Tuesday.

Carnival cruises are currently offering up to 45% off for two guests and the sale runs through Wednesday.

How can these companies simply lower their prices?

“They know the demand is there and they don’t want to miss out on the buyer who wants to book something extra,” Hudson said.

Hudson said many of the offers are valid until 2025. You can find even better prices by bundling your hotel and airlines.

“You actually save when you book everything at the same time as part of a package,” Hudson said. “You can save hundreds of dollars on average.”
