Emma Hayes, head coach of the United States women’s national soccer team, returns to her hometown as her team travels across the pond for an international friendly.

The USWNT will face England at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday. It will be the first meeting between the two clubs since October 7, 2022, when England beat the US Women 2-1 in a friendly at Wembley Stadium.

Hayes, a native of Camden, London, was named head coach of the USWNT in May and successfully led the U.S. women to an Olympic gold medal at the 2024 Paris Games, the team’s first gold medal since 2012.

“I’m a girl from Camden. I’m so happy to be back in Camden,” said Hayes said before the matchup. “You’ll probably see the smile on my face. This is my home and I’m really looking forward to a great week with my team… and training at the legendary Wembley Stadium.”

Despite the excitement of being home, Hayes said, “Business is starting.”

When is USWNT vs England?

The friendly match between USWNT and England begins at 12:20 p.m. ET (5:20 p.m. local time) on Saturday, November 30th at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

How to watch USWNT vs England?

The game will be broadcast nationally on TNT and will be available to stream on Sling and Fubo.

USWNT squad

The USWNT will be without its superstar trio of Sophia Smith, Trinity Rodman and Mallory Swanson, who will have to miss two international friendlies to rest from ongoing injuries. Here is the 24-player squad Hayes named for the games against England (November 30) and the Netherlands (December 3):

On Monday, goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher announced her retirement from international soccer. Saturday’s game in England and the Netherlands next week will be their final game with the USWNT.

England will also be missing some key players. Lauren Hemp underwent knee surgery, while Ella Toone and Lauren James were sidelined with calf and ankle injuries respectively. Here is head coach Sarina Wiegman’s 24-player roster:
