Here’s how you can support Arizona organizations on Giving Tuesday

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – To keep the holiday spirit alive, many across the country are coming together in honor of Giving Tuesday – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving that encourages people to give back. Here is a list of charities, nonprofits and organizations Arizonans can donate this holiday season.

Phoenix Children’s Foundation

Arizona residents can receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for their donation to Phoenix Children’s on Giving Tuesday. Phoenix Children’s has more than 170 programs and services funded in whole or in part by philanthropy, such as the Homeless Youth Services Program, Animal Assisted Therapy and the Emily Center Family Health Library. American Red Cross

Every day, people in the Valley community and around the world face emergencies large and small. The Red Cross helps survivors of natural disasters, patients in need of life-saving blood, and more. The Red Cross says a donation of just $25 can provide five warm blankets. Click here to find out how you can donate.

St. Mary’s Food Bank

Many of our neighbors in Arizona are struggling to feed their families, and St. Mary’s Food Bank is here to help. Every dollar donated provides neighbors with enough food for five meals. Your donation qualifies for a dollar-for-dollar credit on state taxes. Tap here to learn how to donate.

Sexual and Domestic Violence Resources in Arizona

The Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV) helps survivors and provides direct services through its helpline and chat. You can support the organization’s hotline with a donation of $25. Make a $100 donation to support a lawyer’s training enrollment. Arizona Humane Society

Now you can help our furry friends at the Arizona Humane Society through Giving Tuesday. The organization says M3F Fest music festival organizers will match all donations to save twice as many animals in need. Tap here to see how you can donate.

Arizona Food Bank Network

The Arizona Food Bank Network is a coalition of five regional food banks and nearly 1,000 food distribution sites and agencies committed to fighting hunger in Arizona. Big brothers, big sisters of central Arizona

On Giving Tuesday, the organization will be on Facebook Live starting at 9 a.m. inviting the community to meet eight of the Little Brothers on the organization’s waiting list. Arizonans can also find out how they can support all children on the waiting list. Tap here to find out more.
