Any collection inspired by the city of Rome will not be an exercise in restraint, especially if Manufactured by Bulgari. The jewelry house took inspiration from its hometown for the 2024 Aeterna haute jewelry collection, which also celebrates Bulgari’s 140th anniversary. The star of the show is the stunning Serpenti Aeterna necklace featuring seven pear-cut diamonds totaling 140 carats, all linked by a wave-patterned platinum chain set with 698 baguette-cut diamonds. True to its name, the necklace features the iconic Bulgari Serpenti motif as a clasp on the back.

Another necklace that is sure to turn heads is the Victoire necklace from the Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds collection Louis Vuitton. The 100-piece collection pays homage to France’s pioneering spirit – Awakened Hands is Part I, while Awakened Minds is Part II – and the house’s haute jewelry take on industrialization. The V-shaped Victoire necklace is a stunning representation of the Eiffel Tower, with the V culminating in a 15.16-carat diamond in the shape of the house’s famous monogram flower.

If all-out luxury is the look of the day, then it’s time to swap delicate bracelets for a cuff, like the Bamboo Blossom cuff from Boghossian’s Palace Voyages collection. The splendor of historic palaces is the inspiration for Palace Voyages, including the Qianlong Palace in Beijing’s Forbidden City. This cuff is Boghossian’s interpretation of the stunning inlay work from the Qianlong Palace, featuring green and white jadeite in a geometric pattern accented by diamonds in floral motifs.

Gold and gemstones are at the heart of Piaget’s Extraleganza collection – the name is a portmanteau of the words “extravagance” and “elegant”. Connoisseurs looking for a high-quality piece of jewelry for an auspicious occasion will delight in a necklace in bold red and orange hues, set with trapezoid-cut carnelian stones and a rose gold gradient pattern. Diamonds and yellow sapphires add extra sparkle, while a 21.23-carat fiery orange spessartite garnet sits at the center of the necklace.

Less is reserved

Subtle doesn’t mean boring. A high-quality piece of jewelry can be delicate yet captivating, such as Tiffany & Co.’s Arrow earrings from the Blue Book 2024: Tiffany Céleste collection. The American jewelry house searched the archives for its Blue Book 2024, a tribute to Jean Schlumberger, the famous French jewelry designer who began working with the brand in 1956.
