Highschool wrestler can compete in the state final – NBC New York

A three -time wrestler of the Champion High School in New Jersey, who was involved in a scandal over a fight during his game, got a judge in the eleventh hour and gave him the homepage to fight the state championship title.

The judge has the way for the senior of Saint John Vianney High School, Anthony Knox Jr., Frei, to take part in the State Wrestling Championships, which is going on on Thursday in Atlantic City. This decision came a day after Knox had been charged with his alleged participation in a Fracas that broke out in the stands during his game on February 22.

Knox was charged by the Collingswood police for simple bodily harm and caused bodily harm from the struggle in the crowd where he affected his father. Videos published on social media showed a chaotic fight in the stands of a high school competition in Camden County. Knox could be seen in the videos that ran into the stands.

“I saw an angry mob that surrounded my father and I made the decision to help with his help,” he said at an earlier press conference.

Knox and his family denied having met someone and said they were the victims. The police did not identify no other who are involved in the fight.

“The parents became more and more irritated and the crowd began to become Rowdy,” said the father of the athlete, Anthony Knox Sr.

A high school wrestler who was banned from the competition after a fight in the stands was back on the mat after a judgment. Chris Jose of NBC New York reports.

Knox Sr. insisted that he had never thrown blows, but said his son had to pay the price.

“Nobody asked my son after making the decision what happened to him. Nobody had a hearing for him. They only made a decision themselves – they made him a scapegoat,” said Knox Sr.

As a result, Knox was suspended for the rest of the season for the rest of the season due to violation of the athlete and his “disqualification rule for leaving the banking area” by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSiaa).

In fact, this meant that Knox was over a historic four-goal. But the family made an appeal against this decision and claimed that NJSiaa had robbed Knox of its proper procedure. They won a temporary postponement and allowed him to compete until a further connection of the court. The judge said NJSiaa’s decision to ban Knox JR without undermining the public’s trust.

After the decision on Wednesday that Knox competed despite criminal charges, Saint John Vianney High School Administration said that she respected the decision.

In a statement, the NJSiaa said that “it is disappointed with the decision of the court that Anthony Knox can compete and asked the Court of Appeal to intervene”. The association said that it would enable the temporary injunction, which enables Knox to take part in the competition unless other appeal courts regulate differently.

The family’s lawyer said Knox was ready to be in the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Thursday and to take part in the state championships. If he wins, it would be his fourth state championship title.

“We are very satisfied with the decision of the judge and also gratefully grateful for the support of the support of so many throughout New Jersey,” said the family in an explanation.
