Ohhhhhhhmygod, Hilaria Baldwin really wants to continue talking about her Spanish accent.

As early as 2020, a social media shitty storm appeared when people noticed that Hilaria had put on a Spanish accent in numerous interviews -even forgotten the English word for “cucumber”. The only easy hiccup is that she was born in Boston “Hillary”.

Since then, Hilaria has claimed that she spent time in both countries and that she simply embodies both cultures. Now that her new reality show with husband Alec, The Baldwins, Is out, she has doubled. In the debut episode, she claimed that she was brought up bilingual and said: “If I mix the two, it doesn’t make me authentic, and if I mix the two, it makes me normal. I would lie if I said (the controversy), did not make me sad, and it didn’t get me to dark places.”

In the latest episode, she said: “You have in a way in which you are able to be able to be able to be able.

Hilaria continued: “The whole world was common to” her because of “code switching”. From the controversy she said: “You never get used to the fact that people are common. But you get deep and I think you learn to distance yourself from him, and so, you know, just try to reject the volume in my head. I will not take it personally.”

So Hilaria tried her best to characterize the counter reaction as one of people, which did not simply understand what it means to be raised in a mixture of cultures. That it is the fault of other people to confuse them, someone who described himself as a “Spanish” as a local Spaniard. As an immigrant of the first generation, who grew up bilingual, I think that she is unable to be able to fit in at best. Some immigrants do not even teach their children their mother tongues because xenophobia and code switching are part of the forced assimilation. The conversation with a Spanish accent with American interviewer is … the opposite of code switching. I don’t see how Hilaria is somehow a victim here, but on the other hand, I never forgot the English word for cucumber.

Second, there is the important delicacies that Hilaria implied that she was hikers herself. Her agency Bio always said that she was from Majorca, and she suggested going from the island to visit Nyu. Funny fact: I am also an immigrant in the USA! To put it mildly, this is not easy now. But oh, we have to complain that people were “common” Hillary, while the legal residents are threatened with deportation and the families are separated.

In an Instagram contribution from 2016, which is still live, Hilaria wrote: “With two blonde hair, blue -eyed children, people in the park always ask me if I am a nanny. They hear that I talk to my children in Spanish and were offered so many jobs.” In 2013 she was included in a piece that should turn out Latinx women. It certainly feels like Hilaria is no longer having the language of immigration and xenophobia for reasons that I don’t know about the need to get an identity as a victim.

The feeling in many immigrant circles is afraid at the moment. It is a nice thing to be multicultural and an immigrant that feels light bent when stamping out. I feel a feeling of duty for white white, financially stable people to offer solidarity people with less privileges. But for Hillary it is never about it. It’s all about Hilaria.
