Hockey at the Rock – Devils Podcast Episode 26: Not much to complain about

After resolving some significant technical difficulties, Dan was able to bring back Hockey at the Rock, our podcast about the New Jersey Devils. We’re back! We recorded that too before the last three games in November. The mood was then good. The results afterward have tempered the hype, but that’s how life and the sport of hockey works sometimes. Plus, a 9-5-0 month isn’t bad at all. Only three teams can boast a better record. With the technical difficulties resolved, John and Dan compiled a review of the team’s first 24 games. The following applied at the time of recording:

  • The power play was and is on fire. The penalty shootout was also good.
  • Nico Hischier was outstanding.
  • Stefan Noesen and Johnathan Kovacevic were also outstanding.
  • The coaching staff did a good job.
  • The goalkeeper stood his ground.
  • A brief mention of comets.
  • We don’t think there’s much to complain about considering the Devils were so close to qualifying for the playoffs.

While the last three games may change these feelings and facts, that will be covered in our next episode. The recording is expected to take place the day after the first game against Our Hated Rivals. With that in mind, please enjoy our recurring episode of Hockey at the Rock.
