Houston Rockets-Miami Heat fight: Numerous penalties against several players, head coach

The National Basketball Association has announced numerous penalties after an on-court altercation occurred during a game between the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat at the Toyota Center on Sunday.

According to an NBA press release, Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson has been suspended for two games without pay and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier has been suspended for one game without pay.

Here is a full breakdown of the additional penalties imposed:
– Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green – $35,000 fine
– Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro – $25,000 fine
– Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoke – $50,000 fine for verbally abusing a game official and failing to leave the field in a timely manner following his technical foul and ejection.

The NBA said the incident began with 35.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter of the Heat’s 104-100 win on Sunday. It all started when Herro leaned into Thompson’s midsection. Thompson responded by grabbing Herro by his jersey and forcefully throwing him to the ground. Green and Rozier then intervened in the fight, which further escalated the situation.
