How Johnny & Sue Storm in Fantastic Four were changed: First steps -Comic films and superhero -film messages

Joseph Quinn and Vanessa Kirby have recently announced how their versions of Johnny and Sue Storm In The Fantastic Four: First steps differ from past representations. The actors portray the brother-sister superhero duo in the upcoming film. The film by Marvel Studios also plays Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Pedro Pascal, directed by Matt Shakman from Wandavision.

Fantastic Four: The first steps will introduce a new version of Marvels First Family if it will be released on July 25, 2025. In the past there have been three live action films. Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn have recently announced that their versions of their characters will differ from previous representations.

While speaking with Entertainment weekly Quinn recently announced: “This version of Johnny (Storm) is less insensitive with the feelings of other people, and hopefully there is a self -confidence of what is driven by this attention seeker.” He explained that his human flashlight was funny and “leads with a lot of bravery, which can sometimes be an affront”. The actor described the previous iterations of the figure as a “women-tea-May-Care type”.

Director Shakman also described Johnny as “intelligent”. He added that he was also one of the most heroic of the other members of the Fantastic Four.

Kirby, who plays Sue Storm, also conveyed that she wanted her version to be different. Sue is known as the family matriarch. Shakman spoke about Sue and described her as “the most emotionally intelligent person in the world”.

When Kirby spoke about her, Kirby said: “One of the things I love most from Sue History is when she becomes malice and all her dark stuff comes out. I was obsessed with this chapter of her life. So I wanted to make sure that it was not just the stereotype of a good, sweet mother.”

In addition, she claimed that she did not want “only the hard, invincible, mighty woman, but also a mother who herself was a superhero -act.
