How much are tickets to the Mountain West championship game at Boise State? Open the wallet

Boise State will play one of the biggest games in its football history on Friday night at home.

The No. 10 Broncos (11-1, 7-0 Mountain West) will face No. 19 UNLV (10-2, 6-1) in the Mountain West championship game at Albertsons Stadium at 6 p.m. The winner automatically earns a Group of Five berth in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, and a win by Boise State could secure its first-round berth in the quarterfinals.

It will also be the final game on the Blue this season as the Broncos look to win their first consecutive Mountain West title.

There couldn’t be much more at stake.

“I told our team this is why you’re coming to Boise State. “You came here because you want to earn the right to play and win championship games,” Boise State coach Spencer Danielson said Monday. “Championship game on Friday night, everything on the line, all chips on the table… here we go.”

How much are tickets sold for?

Of course, tickets for the big game are hard to come by and aren’t exactly cheap when you do find them.

Boise State Athletics and Ticketmaster have partnered in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This allows fans to purchase tickets either directly from the university or through resale, knowing they are university verified.

“We strongly encourage our fans to go directly to Ticketmaster.com as these tickets are resold verified, meaning they are legitimate,” Andrew Bondi, director of ticketing at Boise State, previously told the Idaho Statesman.

The student section was sold out Monday afternoon, but seats are still available throughout the stadium.

As of Monday afternoon, the cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster was $69 (before fees) in Section 12 in the lower northwest corner of the stadium. If you want a higher location, pay $70 per ticket for the southeast corner of the stadium.

The most expensive tickets found were $553. That would put you in section 22, next to the student section on the east side of the stadium, about the 35 yard line.

On other resale sites, the cheapest tickets available were $58 on SeatGeek, $53 on Vivid Seats and $49 on Stubhub. However, only Boise State resale tickets purchased through Ticketmaster were reviewed.

Fox Big Noon Kickoff is coming to Boise

Friday’s game is well past noon, but that hasn’t stopped the Fox Big Noon Kickoff TV show from announcing it’s coming to Boise.

Hosted by Rob Stone, the program features national championship-winning college coach Urban Meyer as well as former college football stars Mark Ingram II, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn.

The team will set up its desk on the field at Albertsons Stadium for a pregame show beginning at 5 p.m. This table will be located near the Hall of Fame in the southwest corner of the stadium where the Bleymaier Football Center is located.
