How much snow was there in the St. Louis region on Saturday?

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis region’s first fall snow is in sight. Snowfall remained consistent throughout most of Saturday, with several centimeters of snow falling in some parts of the region.

According to the National Weather Service, these are some totals in the St. Louis metropolitan area from Saturday.

  • Washington, Missouri (4.1 inches)
  • Aviston, Illinois (4 inches)
  • Moscow Mills, Missouri (4 inches)
  • Troy, Missouri (3.5 inches)
  • St. Louis Lambert International Airport (3.2 inches)
  • Edwardsville, Illinois (3.1 inches)
  • University City, Missouri (3 inches)
  • Ballwin, Mo. (3 inches)
  • Crestwood, Missouri (2.8 inches)
  • FOX 2 Studios in Maryland Heights, Missouri (2.5 inches)
  • St. Peters, Missouri (2.3 inches)
  • Wildwood, Missouri (2.2 inches)
  • Brentwood, Missouri (1.8 inches)
  • Staunton, Illinois (1.5 inches)

West of the St. Louis region, the snow appeared to hit the Columbia, Missouri, metropolitan area even harder, with some parts of Boone County seeing 4.5 inches of snow.

Communities below the I-70 corridor did not experience as frequent rapid and accumulating snow. For example, some communities in Jefferson County had less than an inch of snow on Saturday.

The Arctic air is calming again in the St. Louis region following the snowfall, so motorists are urged to pay extra attention to slippery spots on roads, especially bridges and overpasses, at least through Sunday morning.
