If you want to save money, delete the “Gentlemen jump.” They are overpriced.

PNC Bank published it Annual report how much the purchase would cost ALL the gifts of “The 12 Days of Christmas”. They have been tracking prices for over 40 years. And once again it is an all-time high.

Everything on the list would get you up and running $49,263 this year, around 5%. But three of the gifts represent more than that 35 grand of that. This is how much everything would cost this year…

Twelve drummers drum. . . $4,017 to hire her.

Eleven pipers play. . . $3,715.

Ten men jumping. . . $15,580. They are based on the cost it would cost to hire professional ballet dancers.

Nine ladies dance. . . $8,557.

Eight maids milking. . . $58 and the cheapest on the list. This is if you hired them for an hour at minimum wage. (Strange gift.)

Seven swans swim. . . $13,125. It is the second most expensive gift. (That plus the lords-a-jump and ladies’ dances adds up to just over $37,000. So everything else on the list is about $12,000.)

Six lying geese. . . $900.

Five golden rings. . . $1,245.

Four calling birds. . . $600.

Three French chickens. . . $347.

Two lovebirds. . . $750.

And a partridge in a pear tree. . . $370.

They also calculate how much it would cost to buy all the stuff over and over again, as the song suggests. For this you would have to spend a total of $209,272.
