How New Orleans LA’s Molly LeBlanc Did on Jeopardy Episode | Entertainment/Life

A New Orleans woman and trivia queen fulfilled a lifelong dream Wednesday when she competed on the latest episode of “Jeopardy!” on ABC.

Molly LeBlanc, administrative assistant and member of the Krewe des Fleurs costume and creative collective, formed a heart with her hands as host Ken Jennings introduced her to America.

She played against it Sam Nguyen, an accountant from Maryland, and two-day winner Bill McKinney of Boston.

LeBlanc faced some tough questions and interesting categories, including Political Oopsies, On The Ropes and The Old Testament.

In the end, LeBlanc got the final “Jeopardy!” clue was right, but it wasn’t enough to defeat McKinney, who took home $18,800 for the episode and became three-day champion.

But the “final danger!” The question itself angered some fans, many of whom thought the clue to scientist Marie Curie was far too simple: “nobelprize.org says some of this scientist’s work is ‘kept in lead boxes,’ a ‘legacy that is literally untouchable.'”

One observer said the final clue was “oddly easy” after “two pretty hard boards,” while others thought the clue was only worth $200.

As LeBlanc returns home to the Crescent City, McKinney will continue his quest to win on the popular game show.
