How to find the secret Fortnite cave in Chapter 6, Season 1

Getting good loot at the start of a Fortnite match can be very important. Luckily, Fortnite’s Chapter 6, Season 1 offers plenty of opportunities to do just that. Where to find the secret cave in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

Before you can enter the cave, you need to know exactly how to get there. The cave is located below the Magic Mosses POI in the northern part of the map. How to get there:

• Land on Magic Mosses, aiming specifically for the central area
• Find and collect a Sprite from the nearby forest (look for Sprite Shrines with glowing white lights – Air Sprites).
• Go to the middle building and use your pickaxe to break through the wooden floor
• Drop down and break through the second floor
• Finally, look for the area with turtle statues near the water

Once you reach the area with the turtle statues, simply approach the rock wall between them while carrying a sprite in your inventory. The wall automatically slides up and opens a passage. You’ll need to break another darker stone with your pickaxe to gain access to the main chamber.

What does the secret Fortnite cave hold?

The Magic Mosses secret cave is one of the most rewarding hidden locations in Chapter 6 and offers several high-level chests including rare elemental chests that can drop powerful Oni masks and legendary weapons. This space is particularly valuable because it is often overlooked by other players and gives you the opportunity to prepare without immediate competition.

Inside, you’ll discover that the main chamber contains several elemental chests, rare chests, and slurp canisters. You might even find one Typhoon Blades Weapon shrine. After collecting your loot, you no longer need to return through the cave system. Look for the porta-potties in the cave – these will teleport you back to the surface at Magic Mosses. From there you can continue looting the area or rotate to your next destination.

The Secret Cave of the Magic Mosses is one of Chapter 6, Season 1’s best-kept secrets for getting high-level loot early in the game. While access requires a little more effort than normal landing sites, the guaranteed quality of the loot makes the route worth mastering.
