How to get deals, freebies from Subway, Insomnia Cookies and more

Are you a fan of chocolate chip, sugar, snickerdoodle, peanut butter or even oatmeal raisin cookies? If so, mark your calendar for December 4th – it’s National Cookie Day!

To celebrate this delicious holiday, cookie lovers can indulge in a variety of offerings and baking inspiration. Cookies have been a popular treat for centuries. Its origins date back to Persia in the seventh century AD. Cookies, a simple combination of flour and sugar, have evolved into countless varieties and satisfy sweet cravings around the world.

According to Mordor Intelligence, the cookie category is expected to reach over $12 billion in annual sales in 2023.

National Cookie Day deals and freebies

While it’s common to see a flurry of discounts on a particular “national holiday,” the savings for National Cookie Day are just a little sweeter.

  • Crumbs: The cookie chain has teamed up with NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to offer a limited-time treat, Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Candy Cane Brownie, available through Saturday, December 7th. The timing coincides with the release of Fallon’s new album “Holiday Seasoning.” which is releasing a deluxe version on Friday. Register to win a signed copy of the album and a $100 Crumbl gift card on Instagram (@Crumbl).

  • Dunkin’: The donut chain is introducing its first-ever holiday sugar cookie, the Decorated Shortbread Cookie, on Wednesday. The donut-shaped cookies — topped with pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles — are similar to Dunkin’s Strawberry Frosted Sprinkles donut. Through December 9th, you can pair it with a medium hot or iced Signature Latte for $3.

  • Insomnia cookies: Insomnia Rewards loyalty program members can get a free Classic Cookie and a $1 Deluxe Cookie in stores (no additional purchase required) and online with any in-app pickup or delivery order on Wednesday (minimum order required for delivery). ).

  • Jimmy John’s: On National Cookie Day through December 8th, when you purchase a limited edition chocolate peppermint cookie made with Oreo cookie pieces, 50 cents will go to the Jimmy John’s Foundation, which partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (donation up to $150,000 -Dollar).

Subway: National Cookie Day giveaways

For National Cookie Day, the sandwich chain is giving 10,000 customers the chance to win a free cookie every day through the end of the year. Members of the Subway MVP Rewards loyalty program can go to SubwayCookieClub.com through Wednesday to join the Subway Cookie Club (you can sign up for rewards at the same time). Winning members will receive a free cookie voucher in their rewards account every day from December 9th to 31st.

  • DoorDash: Get it with your $20 Subway order on Wednesday and Friday and Sunday, June 6-8. December, a free footlong cookie. Milk Bar and McCormick National Cookie Day Baking Contest

Pastry chef Christina Tosi and her bakery Milk Bar — you may remember her cake went viral for Taylor Swift’s birthday last December — teamed up with McCormick spices to create a special Candy Cane Pretzel Bark Cookie. The first 100 customers at the bakery locations in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC will receive a free cookie in a drawing starting at 10 a.m. After that, the cookies will be available for $3.25 through December 31st.
