How to get into the House of Respite in Witcher 3

Steps to enter the House of Rest in The Witcher 3

If you visit the House of Respite, you will be refused entry to the premises. If you interact with the guards, you will be asked to shoo away. However, you can reach this area quite quickly, even without cheats or mods, by following these simple steps:

1. Go to the merchant in Crow’s Perch.
2. Speak to the dealer.
3. Select “What do you offer?”
4. Buy the Nilfgaard Armor, Nilfgaard Boots, Nilfgaard Pants and Nilfgaard Gauntlets.
5. Equip the Nilfgaardian Armor Set.
6. Return to the House of Rest.
7. The guards will move away as you approach the gate.
8. You can now enter the House of Peace.

Alternative way to get to the House of Rest

Interestingly, if you don’t want to bother going to Crow’s Perch and spending your precious crowns on a Nilfgaard armor set, you can get into the House of Rest. The mistake is pretty simple: break the invisible barrier at the gate by leaving Roach in front of the gate. If you want to leave the House of Respite, repeat the process.

While there isn’t much to do in the House of Tranquility, you can find a Nilfgaard Helmet as soon as you enter the house at the far right window.
