How to get Oni Masks

Each chapter of Fortnite has its own theme and along with a cool new style comes a variety of powerful weapons. The Japanese theme in Chapter 6 offers plenty of unique combat options, including explosive Oni masks that will strike fear into all your opponents.

In addition to an action-packed arsenal of new weapons, Chapter 6 also introduced a new item type called Oni Masks. Each mask has unique abilities that give you an advantage over other battle royale fighters. Below we take a detailed look at Oni masks, how to use them, and where you can get one for yourself.

Oni Masks are an item you can equip to deal devastating damage or overtake your opponents. Each offers a different power and unique look for your Fortnite avatar. When you remove a mask, you lose its power and revert to your character’s normal appearance. There are three Oni Masks to collect at the start of Chapter 6: Season 1. However, more will likely be added in the future. We’ll show you how to get each mask and all of its action-packed powers so you’re prepared for any situation.

How to use Oni masks

Using Oni Masks works like any other weapon. First take a mask and then equip it in your inventory. Once you have an Oni Mask equipped, you can shoot energy balls into the distance using your configured shot button. With the exception of the Mythic Oni Masks, which provide 50 charges, it appears that each item only holds a handful of charges before disappearing from your inventory – so choose when to use them carefully.

Empty mask

The Void Mask is a fun new addition to Fortnite’s loot pool. Instead of dealing damage to enemies like other weapons, this item gives you the ability to teleport. Aim down and shoot a bullet into the sky. Then you can teleport to where she lands. The Void Mask is perfect for catching up with the storm or escaping strong enemies.

You can obtain the Void Mask by opening chests throughout the island, which offer a small chance of containing each mask. There is no guarantee that opening a golden chest will give you a Void Mask. So you just have to keep looting until you find one.

Nightrose Void Mask

A powerful mythical item, Night Rose’s Void Mask offers the same power as the standard Void Mask but comes with a whopping 50 charges. So, getting this mask will allow you to teleport throughout the Fortnite: Battle Royale game.

Unfortunately, getting the Night Rose Void Mask is quite a challenge. First, you need to head to the Demon Dojo location. Next, defeat the powerful boss that resides there to get your hands on the Nightrose Void Mask and tons of action-packed golden weapons.

Fire mask

The Fire Mask is arguably the strongest Oni mask in Fortnite based on its raw strength. When you equip this fiery weapon, you can fire fireballs that engulf your enemies in a sea of ​​flames. Each shot deals 100 damage, making it stronger than most normal weapons in Chapter 6.

Like the Void Mask, you’ll need to keep looting chests until you come across a Fire Mask. If you loot a few dozen chests per game, your chances of coming across an Oni Mask skyrocket.

Will there be more Oni Masks in Chapter 6?

At this point, it is unclear whether Epic Games will decide to add new Oni masks in Chapter 6: Season 1. However, it’s likely that they will, as Fortnite releases new gear every week. Until then, you can collect sprites and work on improving your Battle Pass to add Baymax and Godzilla to your locker.

As Fortnite expands to include more Oni masks, they will likely be themed around other elements like water, air, or earth. Chapter 6 has one of the most distinctive themes of all, so it’s worth jumping off the Battle Bus to experience Oni Masks and all the other Japanese fun while it lasts.
