How to get the Vault Key and open Mythic Vault in Fortnite Chapter 6

Fortnite has launched a new map in Chapter 6 and there are plenty of secrets to discover, including the mysterious Mythic Vault. We have all the details you need to get the vault key and open the door to claim the treasures within.

Fortnite Chaper Six kicked off with a bang after a record-breaking live event, followed by a move to a Japanese island full of secrets and treasure. While there are plenty of bosses to fight, great rewards are hidden in a hidden vault.

However, the Mythic Vault is not permanently locked and you can open it in any game. We have all the details you need to unlock it and claim the rewards.

How to open the Mythic Vault in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

Unsurprisingly, you need a key to open the Mythic Vault and a specific process is required to obtain the key. This can only be completed once per game, so other players may beat you to it.

To earn the key, Visit the Bushranger NPC in the Night Shift Forest and bring a sprite. In Chapter Six, Season One, sprites can be found all over the map. So don’t worry too much about it, but be warned The location of the Bushranger NPC changes every game.

Interact with the Bushranger NPC while you have a sprite in your inventory and Select the “View Article” option. This will remove the sprite from your inventor, replace it with the vault key, and cause Bushranger to remove the spell over the Night Shift Forest to turn it into day.

With the safe key in your pocket, the next step is to go to the safe itself. It’s found just outside the Nightshift Forest marker on the map, slightly to the east. You can see the exact location in the picture above.

Once opened, the vault inside offers tons of loot, including rare weapons, blessings, Oni masks, a Typhoon Blade, and more. The exact rewards are random, but the effort is always worth it as the loot will definitely improve your gear.
