Georgia is back in the SEC Championship Game for the fourth straight year and hopes to return to the top of the league after losing to Alabama (27-24) in 2023 and missing the College Football Playoff. Texas is competing for an SEC title in the program’s first season in the league after completing an 11-1 regular season. The only loss came on October 19th against the Georgia Bulldogs (30:15). The Longhorns have won five straight since that setback, including a 17-7 win over rival No. 20 Texas A&M last weekend that sealed a trip to Atlanta. Texas is the 2.5-point favorite to avenge its loss to Georgia and win the SEC title.
