How to get to Pripyat in STALKER 2

How do I get to Pripyat? STALKERS 2

You can get to Pripyat STALKERS 2 by either giving the M-Scanner Nor in Yaniv Station or using the M-Scanner to go through the tunnel in XXX west of Yaniv Station. You cannot enter Pripyat until you complete the main mission “YYY”.

It’s tempting to explore as much of the map as possible, but certain areas of the game are off-limits for one reason or another. For example, you can only enter the Noontide base after the “Back to the Slag Heap” mission, and the Duga region is also locked until you reach a certain story mission. The Jupiter and Pripyat regions are also closed to you at the start of the game.

Yaniv Station is the northernmost town you can visit for much of the story. It also serves as the only safe route to Pripyat; A wall of trains and fences prevents you from going north. Additionally, an invincible sniper guards the eastern fence, similar to the invincible snipers protecting Duga.

There are a few glitches and exploits that allow you to break into Prypiat, but they are sure to be patched and you don’t want to try them. The Jupiter and Pripyat regions are home to some of the toughest enemies in the game, and it’s best to wait until you’re well equipped before heading there.

You need to advance the story until you get to the story mission “The Boundary”. During this mission you will have to repel a monolith attack on Yaniv Station. Afterwards, talk to Richter and learn about a stalker named Spirit, who still has a way to get to Pripyat.

When you track down Spirit, you’ll need to convince him to give you some clues on how to get to Prypiat. He will then point out a special device called the M-Scanner, which is kept in the Spark Bunker southwest of Yaniv Station. When you get there you will find four soldiers with exoskeletons investigating the area. Kill them and then get the M-Scanner.

The M-Scanner gives you two options for getting to Pripyat: you can go west through a tunnel or you can turn into it and get a pass legally.

Should you take the tunnel or give Nor the M-Scanner?

You should give Nor the M-Scanner. Traversing the tunnel near the Tornado Anomaly is extremely dangerous, but more importantly, it doesn’t give you any rewards. However, he will not give you a large amount of vouchers and will also give you access to Pripyat via Yaniv train station.

Once you have permission, you can come and go as you please through the north doors of Yaniv Station. Although there is another base in Pripyat, it’s always good to have a few extra safe places to fall back on when you need them!
