How to stream the Washington Capitals live at the New Jersey Devils: time, channel

The Washington Capitals will head to the New Jersey Devils for a Metropolitan Division game on Saturday evening.

Game time is 7:00 p.m. ET at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and you can stream it live on ESPN+ (introductory discount).

Washington (16-6-1, in the Metropolitan Division) is 7-2-1 in its last 10 games, including a 5-4 overtime win over the New York Islanders on Friday.

Jakob Chychrun scored the overtime winner and had an assist, Tom Wilson scored twice and Nic Dowd and Dylan Strome also scored for the Capitals, who rallied from a 4-2 deficit to play three of five games without captain Alex Ovechkin have won.

Logan Thompson stopped 20 shots in the win.

Strome’s multi-point effort has him tied for fourth place in NHL scoring this season with 34 points.

Connor McMichael has scored five goals and contributed four assists in the last 10 games.

Thompson has made 12 starts this season and is now 10-1-0-1 with a goals-against average of 2.56.

New Jersey (16-8-2, in the Metropolitan Division) has also played well in recent weeks, picking up seven wins in its last 10 games.

Dougie Hamilton, Timo Meier and Jack Hughes scored on power plays as the Devils took advantage of Detroit’s NHL-worst penalty kill in a 5-4 win over the Red Wings on Friday.

New Jersey went 3 of 4 with the man advantage. Detroit has taken 60% of its penalties, the lowest in the league (39 of 65).

Stefan Noesen and Nico Hischier also scored goals for the Devils, who won four of five.

The Devils’ Jacob Markstrom made 25 saves in the win.

Jesper Bratt (29) and Hughes (27) are the Capitals’ top point scorers and Hischier leads the club with 14 goals.

Markstrom has started 18 of the Devils’ 26 games and has a record of 11-6-0-1 with a goals-against average of 2.62.
