Will this impress Fortnite fans who don’t build?

Have you ever wished that breaking down a wall in Fortnite construction mode wasn’t so complicated? If so, Epic Games has heard your wishes. Here’s how to use Simple Edit in Fortnite.

In recent patch updates, Epic Games has been paying special attention to Zero Build, which has caused quite a stir among OG Fortnite players who love building.

In Chapter 6, the developer has significantly improved the construction and fans couldn’t be happier. In addition to being a handy feature, Simple Edit could have a significant impact on the game’s meta.

As the name suggests, Simple Edit simplifies editing. Instead of manually selecting tiles and replacing them with new structures, players only need to look in the direction of the structure that needs to be edited.

But Simple Edit is not enabled by default. Here’s how to activate and use it.

How to enable Simple Edit in Fortnite

  1. Go to Settings and then the Game tab
  2. Scroll until you find the “Easy Edit” option
  3. Turn easy editing on or off

When you go back into the game, you can edit structures by pressing “G”.

This is an extremely handy feature that helps players create structures on the go without having to manually remove walls. Although this feature has many uses in the game, its most popular use is probably surprising enemies.

Players can hide behind buildings and quickly convert walls into windows, giving them a tactical advantage. With this faster editing feature, enemies have less time to react and adapt to sudden attacks or unexpected movements.

So far, fans are loving Simple Edit in Fortnite, but it may be a few months before this new feature finally impacts the game’s meta. Currently, Zero Build is the most popular mode, but hopefully the new update will entice players to give Build mode another chance.
