Indianapolis is coming off a tough 24-6 loss to the 11-1 Detroit Lions. Quarterback Anthony Richardson struggled in this game, completing just 11 of 28 passes for 172 yards and no touchdowns. The young signal-caller rushed 10 times for 61 yards and looked like the dual-threat quarterback he was so highly regarded as.

This season, Richardson has a mediocre 47.1 percent completion rate with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. The former Florida star has thrown for 1,402 yards on the season and has a quarterback rating of 65.4. All in all, Richardson’s second season in the NFL wasn’t great, but he needs all the reps he can get considering how little experience he had as a starting quarterback before coming to Indianapolis.

The Patriots, meanwhile, have former Carolina Tar Heel Drake Maye, the young quarterback they want to develop into their franchise man. Maye has shown flashes this season but, like Richardson, doesn’t have elite numbers, boasting a 65.5 percent contest percentage, 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions and a quarterback rating of 85.4.
