How to watch the 2024 WNBA Expansion Draft

On December 6th, the Golden State Valkyries will finally assemble their roster for the 2025 WNBA season.

In September, the WNBA explained how the expansion draft will work:

An article published by ESPN states: “Prior to the announcement of draft results on December 6th on ESPN, each current team has until Monday to submit a list of up to six protected players, including both those who will end the season in their own right Squad has ended, as well as everyone else to which the team has rights.”

The Valkyries also released a graphic on the expansion design process in September.

Notable expected unprotected players on ESPN’s list include Diamond DeShields, Myisha Hines-Allen, Courtney Vandersloot, Sydney Colson, Megan Gustafson, Kia Nurse, Monique Billings and Stephanie Dolson.

The expansion draft takes place at 6:30 p.m. ET – that’s 3:30 p.m. PT for most of you reading this – and will air on ESPN.
