How to watch the Qatar Grand Prix – Formula 1 | Channel, stream, preview

LUSAIL, Qatar – Only two races remain in the 2024 Formula One season, and even though the Drivers’ Championship is under wraps, that doesn’t mean there won’t be excitement at Sunday’s Qatar Grand Prix.

After a much better event at the Las Vegas Grand Prix last weekend, Max Verstappen’s fifth place was enough to secure him an incredible fourth consecutive world title. The Dutchman was only the fifth driver in F1 history to achieve this feat.

Sure, Red Bull Racing’s star isn’t nearly as dominant as he was in 2023, but his ability to overcome some significant adversity and hold off Lando Norris in recent months shows how talented he is as a driver. Verstappen comes to Qatar with eight wins this season.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Red Bull can achieve a double this season. While Verstappen once again did a great job, his teammate Sergio Perez was unable to carry some of the load, causing the team to fall down the overall standings in the race for the constructors’ championship. Currently, Norris and Oscar Piastri have McLaren at the top, 24 points ahead of Ferrari and 53 points ahead of Red Bull. If the drivers in orange can maintain a consistent pace ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, McLaren can win its first constructors’ championship since 1998.

This will be the third race ever in Qatar. Lewis Hamilton won the inaugural event in 2021 while Verstappen won last season.
