A man has been arrested and charged with murder after his estranged wife was found dead in the Oregon wilderness.

Michel Fournier, 71, was taken into custody Friday on a charge of second-degree murder. He is now being held without bail, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier Friday, Susan Lane-Fournier was found dead after a several-day search in Viels, a remote part of Clackamas County. Authorities said an autopsy determined the woman’s manner of death was homicide.
