I just played Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 - and an Xbox game is now the best racing driver from Sony

Forza Horizon is now available from PlayStation. This is a sentence that I would never have thought of I would write. Forza Horizon 5, which was first published on the Xbox series X and PC in 2021, is now playable on PS5.

When Microsoft confirmed that in February 2024 it would bring a first quartet Xbox -exclusive games to PS5, there were many rumors that more would follow. And although I thought that in my head it was probably the gold trio of Xbox (Halo, Gears and Forza).

But we live in interesting times, and at the beginning of this year Xbox confirmed that the playground of Forza Horizon 5 on Sony’s Console brought the open playground for the world. After giving the chance to zoom the diverse setting from FH5 to PS5 Pro a little early, I have a single conclusion: Forza Horizon 5 is now the best racing game that you can play on PS5. Period.

Gran Turismo 7 has mostly unchallenged for years, but the arrival of Forza Horizon 5 represents a new dawn for Playstation Racer. Forza Horizon 5 is not only an incredible racing experience (as we said in our review of Forza Horizon 5), but also one of the most visually impressive games that I have so far experienced at PS5. Oh, and it depends on PS5 with so much content that it borders strange.

If you are a Playstation player and have never ventured into the world of Forza, you now have to look forward to going to the start network.

For PlayStation fans who are cold in the Forza franchise, the spin-off horizon series is the Open World siblings of the track focus-forza motorsport franchise. In FH5 you will drop in a large, strongly condensed view of Mexico and have the freedom to look for the petrol adventure that best suits your preferred playstyle.

One of the greatest strengths of Forza Horizon 5 is that it basically does justice to all types of races. If you want intensive street races with tight curves and tricky slaloms, you will find them. Fancy Epic Cross-Country competitions that test their perseverance? No problem. Would you like to do without races and instead concentrate on collecting stunt points? You can do that too. In the world of Horizon, the open world is a playground and how they approach is with them.

Forza Horizon 5 is also constantly rewarding you. And I mean constant. In drop, unlock new cars, adaptation options, event types and more. In fact, new things are given so often that it is occasionally overwhelming. But of course you can ignore all menu notifications and instead just take a targetless drive.

Fortunately, the moving basics are also among the best in business. While Forza Horizon has always decided an arcade approach compared to his authentic racing simulation siblings, his driving gameplay still feels extremely tight. And you have the option of further correct your vehicle to find a sweet spot that is best suited for you.

Perhaps the biggest compliment that I can give Forza Horizon 5 is that it is an archetypal “one more” loan. You could plan to achieve a short session to complete one or two breeds, and before you know you are more than a dozen events deep, it is 3 a.m. and you have to be up for work in less than six hours. I played Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 Pro and I can’t overdo how absolutely wonderful it is. It quickly becomes my starting point for the 699 dollar console from Sony.

Even after several long sessions, every time I start the lavish world, I do for a few seconds to admire how breathtaking this game looks. Under the right conditions, it is almost realistic.

With PS5 Pro, two available modes are available, performance and quality. I chose the former because I primarily prioritize frame rate and the 30 FPS of quality mode are simply too big for me. But even with performance, the graphics are never less remarkable.

The game uses the performance of the PS5 Pro to offer ray traced reflections in quality mode and overall higher loyalty to 60 FPS in performance mode. I have freaked between the two settings to get a feeling for what looks best, but to be honest, the game looks stunning what they choose.

Of course, it helps that the Open World Card from Forza Horizon 5 is a real look in itself. The remixing view of Mexico of the game offers a remarkable variety between expansive motorways, perfect for drag -racing, in order to navigate the dense jungle with a robust 4×4. Just cross around and pick up the sights (and incredible noises) from Mexico is half the fun.

This game is almost too big

When Forza Horizon 5 started for the first time, it was already a gigantic Video game. In many reviews, it was found that it offered an amazing amount of content from day one. Then Playground Games regularly spent the next few years with even more content than publishing two major extensions: Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure.

Forza Horizon 5 depends on PS5 with everything that is included (even though you have to jump for the expensive 99 dollar premium output in order to obtain the two extensions).

Is there something like too much content? Forza Horizon 5 is certainly closer to this case than any video game that I have played recently. My card is already so overloaded via event icons and points of interest that reading the topography is practically impossible.

In order to summarize Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 with the publication of Forza Horizon 5, the game receives one of the biggest updates to date on all platforms. This update brings the new Horizon Realms mode so that you can experience some fan favorite environments from Evolving World mode in previous Forza Horizon games. While I only scratched the surface of this new offer, it adds more content to explore and is perfect for returning fans.

So much content may sound overwhelming, but Forza Horizon 5 gracefully releases this potential danger thanks to its relaxing tone. The world of Horizon is about the joy of driving and exploring exotic places. The game expects or does not require you to systematically delete every event. The expectation is that you choose what appeals to you the most. And if you don’t want to have fun, you can just drive and see what you find.

The conclusion is simple: Forza Horizon 5 was already a really phenomenal racing game, and that has not changed in PS5.

In fact, with the addition of the Forza Realm mode (which also goes to Xbox and PC) and the improvements of the PS5 Pro would be possible to not mention the solid use of the dual -sensense controller through the game, the best version of Forza Horizon 5, which has come to PS5. The game has never looked better or played.

The real proof of how much I evaluate Forza Horizon 5 is that I already know that it will stay on my PS5 hard drive for a very long time. I would like to immerse yourself in his breathtaking world if I want to look for an intensive racing session or just want to relax with a scenic drive along the sun -drenched coast.

In addition, with so much content, I will probably still have events and cars to unlock (there are so many cars to unlock!) At the time when the PS6 arrives.
