Warning: This article contains spoiler for Daredevil: Born Again Episode 4.

The latest episode of Daredevil: Born was for the first time Jon Bernthals Punisher in the MCU. However, it seems that he was almost not part of the show, as Bernthal revealed that he actually went away from the original version.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor said when he was initially addressed for the series, he was not interested in the approach they were persecuted. “In the end I didn’t see it. I didn’t see the version of Frank, and what they wanted from Frank (not) really made sense for me and I thought I would not address the fans and not be congruent,” said Bernthal. “It wasn’t something I was really interested in. So we had to go away.”

The series underwent a creative overhaul when the Hollywood strikes brought filming to a standstill when the producer Dario Scardapane came on board as a show runner. Scardapane previously worked with Bernthal on the Punisher -TV show and the actor attributes to him and others with whom he worked in the Netflix show to bring him back into the wrinkle.

“You really got me into conversation,” he added from Scardapane and Marvel. “We really made ourselves specifically where Frank is psychological, where Frank physically succeeds.”

The latest episode of Daredevil: Born Again brings Frank Castle back for a short, emotional scene with Matt Murdock. We don’t see too much of him, but the intensive scene shows some of the most heartbreaking dialogue of the show. Charlie Cox previously announced that Bernthal would often also rewrite its lines in the series, sometimes without telling him.

Daredevil: Born Again is broadcast on Disney Plus weekly. You can find more information in our Daredevil: Born Nother -Release -Zeitplan and our overview of Daredevil: Born Nut Season 1.
