I use this Lenovo laptop every day and it’s 0 off on Cyber Monday

Over the years I have used and tested many tablets and found the Lenovo Duet 11 Chromebook that fits perfectly into my everyday life. I either use my phone or reach for my laptop when I need a larger screen or a keyboard for faster typing. But since I regularly take the train to work, I love having a device that is compact, light and all-rounder.

The Lenovo Duet 11 Chromebook has that versatility and is on sale for Cyber Monday, even better than Black Friday. It’s an 11-inch tablet paired with a removable keyboard cover, a back cover with a stand and, if you want, you can pair it with it an active pen for drawing or writing on the screen. You can save $130 now that it’s on sale $249 at Best Buy. Here are other tablets we like that are currently on sale, including this Cyber Monday iPad deal.

Why I like this tablet

On the surface, you might think it’s no different than an iPad or any number of Android tablets. However, the big differences lie in the ChromeOS operating system and the price. If you’ve never used ChromeOS before, it’s sort of a mix between a traditional desktop operating system like Windows or MacOS and a mobile operating system that uses your phone. The combination makes it easier for me to work with a keyboard and trackpad or mouse, but also uses apps from the Google Play Store, so it also feels like a mobile device. The only problem might be if your work relies on software that is only available for MacOS or Windows. This has never been a problem for me as there is usually a web or mobile app I can use instead.

The Duet 11 helps me stay busy during my train ride

The size of the Duet is really suitable for my train journeys, so I can easily edit documents or answer emails on the way to work. It also has a fantastic 5-megapixel front camera, so I can use it for a Zoom chat if I need to, and the camera has a physical privacy screen that shields it the rest of the time. I particularly like the Duet 11’s snappy performance. It activates as soon as I open the keyboard, and I can quickly connect to my Pixel phone for an instant internet connection. The battery life is also very good with up to 11 hours when I used it.

Using the Duet on your lap can be a bit of a balancing act, but it’s doable. Its compact size makes it ideal for cramped coffee table desks and other places where a full-size laptop might be cumbersome. Plus, it only weighs about 2 pounds with all the accessories.

Like many people, I relax with some entertainment on the way home, and the Duet shines for that too. Detach the magnetically attached keyboard and ChromeOS switches to a more touch-friendly experience. The tablet supports cloud gaming services like Xbox Game Pass and Nvidia GeForce Now, so you can play all kinds of games with a strong internet connection. I also love playing mobile games from the Play Store on it.

The versatility of the Duet makes it a great gift

The Duet is not only ideal for commuting and in tight spaces, but is also a good e-reader. I use it to read manga with the Viz and Shonen Jump apps, and I regularly browse my library’s e-book and magazine collection via the Libby app. The device is also good for streaming videos and music, although I prefer Bluetooth headphones to the tablet’s small speakers.

While I primarily use it when traveling and commuting, the Duet is also great at home. I wouldn’t recommend the Duet as your only laptop unless you simply don’t need to do more than basic home office work and can connect a larger screen, keyboard and mouse. While the 11-inch touchscreen looks great, it’s a bit too small for all-day use. But as a secondary device to a larger, more powerful desktop or laptop, it’s almost perfect.

Will the Lenovo Duet 11 Chromebook be on sale after Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Yes that’s it! The Lenovo Duet 11 Chromebook is on sale, and we expect it to remain on sale through Cyber Monday. However, we can’t promise it won’t sell out. That’s why you want to cash in the savings now rather than later, especially because it’s a better bargain than on Black Friday.
