“Nunnally Construction provided mechanical fire suppression for the slash and burn created by the Red Seigel Fuel Reduction Project,” said Sandi Paul, Fire Coordinator.

All fuel removed from the roadside and ditches was hand-loaded onto a trailer by Pineda Post and Pole, the contractor, and dumped in the rock pit on Hot Springs Road, according to Paul. The Forest Service wanted just one pile at the rock pit to burn the next fall, but there was so much burning that the contractor had to build two large firewood piles. Paul requested a payment of $1,000 to Nunnally Construction for the pilings, which was approved by the commissioners.

Also on the agenda was approval to support the Lochsa Gen 3 plan (relating to the North Idaho Land Exchange); for the renewal of the CompuNet Microsoft 365 service for the courthouse; and for a pay increase for two employees who have completed their probationary period.
