Idaho Steelhead | GOALKEEPER BEN KRAWS ON LOAN TO STEELHEADS

BOISE, ID – The Idaho steelhead (@Steelheads), proud ECHL (@ECHL) Subsidiary of Dallas Stars (@DallasStars), And Steelheads head coach and director of hockey operations Everett Sheen announced this goalkeeper today Ben Kraws was loaned to the Steelheads from the Texas Stars of the AHL.

KrawsThe 24-year-old was called up again on Nov. 26, last Tuesday, and served as the backup goaltender in Texas’ 4-0 loss at Ontario last Friday and Saturday’s 4-3 shootout win at Coachella Valley. It was his second assignment of the season as he traded to Texas on October 27th and then returned to Idaho on November 7th. During his time in the AHL this season, he made 26 saves in a 5-1 loss at Texas on November 2nd against Colorado.

The Cranbury, NJ native has a (5-1-1) record with a 3.12 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. His 48 saves on Nov. 10 in a 4-2 win at Savannah are the most saves by an ECHL goaltender in a single game this season.

On March 25, 2024, he signed a one-year NHL contract with Dallas.
