Idaho Women Dominate Home Vandalism Invitation; The Seattle U-Men are ahead

BOISE, ID – Seattle U men’s and women’s swimming completed their record-setting performance at the NW Collegiate Invitational on Sunday. Eight new top 10 times were set, with the men’s team taking first place (2149) and the women’s team taking second place (1477) in the team standings.

“It was a big day today,” said head coach Joe Dykstra. “This is the best mid-season meet we have ever had, with numerous PBs and even some school records after just nine weeks of full training. I’m very proud of the team.”

Danielis Kvederis broke the school record in the 100 free relay this morning with a time of 44.27 Nicholas Imig took back the record with a time of 44.26 in the final. Also Hawkins Wendt (44.78) and Hennig Colsman (45.27) move up to sixth and seventh place, respectively, on the all-time list.

On the women’s side Amanda Miller ranked 5th all-time in the 100m freestyle with a time of 51.50 Mia David finished right behind her in 6th place with a score of 51.57.

In the 100 medley time trial, five different top 10 times were achieved or improved. Mia David improved her hold on the 6th with a time of 1:00.44, Aubrey Cheng (1:00.65) moved up to 7th place and Makenna Frederiksen (1:01.12) to 8. For the men, Nathan Headon Weeks (53.00) had the fifth fastest time in program history and Morgan Robinson (53.15) right behind him for 6th place.
