Idaho’s coolest tradition is back to make a difference in 2025

We hope you’ll join Mateo from 103.5 KISS FM and Kevin Miller from KIDO Talk Radio for this year’s Gebert-Arbaugh Polar Bear Challenge to benefit Make-A-Wish Idaho!

This happens every year and only Idaho’s bravest residents are tough enough to come forward. If you don’t like getting up early, this event is not for you. If you don’t like the cold, this event is certainly not for you.

Do you have a heart of gold and a desire to make a difference? Then the cold, early morning hours no longer matter!

We’re talking about Make-a-Wish Idaho’s Polar Bear Challenge!

The event, promoted by its great founders for years, is now called the Gebert-Arbaugh Polar Bear Challenge and will take place for the 22nd time in 2024!

If you’ve never taken part in the Polar Bear Challenge or just missed the fun last year – here’s a look back at one of our favorite falls from the past!

Idahoans get chills at “Make A Wish Idaho.”

The weather was perfect – do you have what it takes?

We say flippantly that this event “may not be for you,” because it really does affect everyone. The work Make-a-Wish does right here in Idaho For the local children across our state who are battling illness, it is amazing.

Here’s a fun fact: You don’t have to jump into Lucky Peak Reservoir to participate in this great cause – you can sponsor a team or an individual Is Dive in and help Make-a-Wish of Idaho!

New last year and again this year by popular demand: the event now takes place on the first Saturday in January! This means that this year the event will take place on January 11, 2024!
