In 2025, Steelers will organize the first NFL game in Dublin, Ireland

New Orleans-Dublin will play Ireland’s first NFL game of the regular season host of Pittsburgh Steelers in Croke Park in 2025, the league announced on Friday, two days before the Chiefs and Eagles, in the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

The Irish capital joins Madrid and Berlin as the first host of the next season because the league further expands its global footprint. At the beginning of this week there was known that an NFL game was played in Australia in 2026.

The Steelers have long -term connections to the Emerald Isle and a partnership with the Gaelic Athletic Association, the Croke Park, the main national stadium of Ireland. The date and opponent of Pittsburgh will be announced this spring.

“We are very happy to be the proven team in the first regular season game in the coming season, which will be played in Ireland,” said Art Rooney II, President of Steelers, in a statement. “The opportunity for the Pittsburgh Steelers to play in Ireland event to represent Pittsburgh in a game that takes the NFL to the great sports fans in Ireland.”

From the 2025 season, the NFL can plan up to eight regular seasonal games internationally.

London will be the third stage next season – two in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and one in the Wembley Stadium; The browns and jets are the home teams at Tottenham Stadium, while the Jaguar is the home team at Wembley. The Colts are the home team of the Berlin game in the Olympic Stadium, and the Dolphins will act as hosts in Bernabeu, the home stadium of the Spanish football team Real Madrid.

The league has also thought that a team plays in European cities in different European cities in a row.
