'Inacceptable' that show in Lakers against Warriors

Los Angeles-Die Los Angeles Lakers carried one of the better home records in the playoff-like game on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors.

Point Guard Luka Dončić was sitting on his locker, while after the loss of 123-116 he scrolled on his phone on his phone.

Dončić was limited to 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Lakers in almost 38 minutes. Dončić shot 6 out of 17 and did none of his six three -point attempts. He used his attempts at free throwing and made all seven.

“It is always frustrating if you can’t help your team, but it’s not always about gate,” he said. “You can do other things on the pitch. I try to help in other ways.”

“It wasn’t his night,” said Lakers coach JJ Redick when he was asked for Dončić and the efforts of the warriors to take advantage of the guard as a defender.

Dončić played almost eight minutes below the game when the Lakers tried to close the warriors, but was limited to only two points and scored 1: 3 from the field.

“Jimmy (Butler) did a great job to stand in front of him and force him into a difficult situation,” said Warriior’s striker Draymond Green about the defense of his team against Dončić late. “He went down to me right away. The only pass he really got is (Jaxson Hayes) and this type has to shoot a floater or go my chest to get the layup.

“I felt comfortable enough to make myself for it. He put the ball out there, so I will double it in the worst case, but he doesn’t get that and one. There are two free throws, so take the opportunity to play a game.”

Dončić’s availability for the second night of a back-to-back party could be seen as a decision for the season, since the Lakers will host the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday evening.

The Slovenian did not appear on the Lakers injury report on Wednesday evening, but was seen during warming up before the game with adhesive tape around the left elbow. The tape stayed on his arm during the game, but was covered with an arm cover.

“It’s okay,” said Dončić. “It’s my left (poor). It’s fine.”

Dončić, who mainly shoots with his right hand, stormed a hard fall on the left elbow during the previous game against the Houston Rockets.

Playoff situation of the Lakers

The Lakers are now the fourth seed in the Western Conference rating and are half a game back on the Denver Nuggets.

The Warriors are a game behind the Lakers as fifth seeds.

When the season ends today, the Lakers and Warriors would come onto the market in the first round.

Los Angeles joined the third seed on Thursday.
