Injury report, absurd scheduling, bum referees and how to watch

Do you enjoy watching the Detroit Pistons fall apart? Then I have good news for you!

After being throttled last night by an undermanned 76ers team so they could rest their guys for the big game, the Pistons forgot to show up and were chased out of the gym by the Bucks, who were probably still shooting 3-pointers from the hotel make . Oh, and that line just fouled Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Sorry to be grumpy, but I’m sleep deprived and this team is killing me.

Whatever optimism was generated by the Pistons’ breakthrough success in the NBA Cup group stage was dashed by the fact that they gave up winnable games to get there and still failed to make the knockout rounds. phase. Raise the banner!

And her reward? The Pistons were able to hop on a plane to fly to Boston to face the defending champions after last night’s debacle.

JB Bickerstaff was right to complain about this absurd scheduling, as it requires teams to treat these stupid NBA Cup games as if they meant something (which they don’t) and then play again the next night .

This will be the Pistons’ third meeting after a Cup game and their sixth of the season so far. I hate to be conspiratorial here, but after seeing the egregious officiating imbalance last night where the Pistons couldn’t get a call but were booed every time they breathed on Giannis, coupled with that stupid schedule, could one would almost think that the league is trying to help the marquee teams. Almost.

The Pistons didn’t lose because of the referees or because they’ve played a stupid amount of games lately, but it didn’t help, and you can’t tell me the NBA Operations Committee didn’t look at that stretch and say, ” That should kill the Pistons.”

Whatever the case, the tirade has died down.

Like it or not, the Pistons have a game tonight, and if they defend the 3-point line like they did against Milwaukee, some records may be broken.

The Pistons only have rookie Bobi Klintman on the injury report with a calf injury, so he should be at full strength against Boston, whatever that means.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Celtics sit on the bench tonight, rest their starters and maybe even let a few fans watch the Pistons play, but right now Jrue Holiday and Jayson Tatum are listed as questionable.

Are you sure you want this? Be kind to yourself.

If you’re a masochist, the clue will air at 7:30 pm ET on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit or you can listen to it on 97.1 FM The Ticket.

I hope the great George Blaha takes the evening off, he doesn’t deserve this.

I’m one of the crazy ones, so I’ll talk my way back into this team tonight, but for now I’m just going to pull a few fingernails to get ready.
