Intel’s new Arc Battlemage desktop graphics cards are here; Price starts at 9 | Technology News

On Tuesday, Intel unveiled its latest desktop graphics cards – the Arc B570 and Arc B580 – both based on the Xe2 graphics architecture first introduced in the Lunar Lake laptop processors. Priced at $219 and $249 respectively, Intel claims the Arc B570 and B580 offer “best-in-class performance per dollar.” However, there is no information about when these graphics cards will be available in India.

“The new Intel Arc B-Series GPUs are the perfect upgrades for gamers. They offer premium value and great 1440p gaming experiences with XeSS 2, second generation ray tracing engines and XMX AI engines. We’re excited to have more partners joining us than ever before to give gamers more choice when finding their perfect design,” said Vivian Lien, Intel vice president and general manager of client graphics.

The Intel Arc B570 is the cheaper option and offers 10GB of video memory, while the Arc B580 steps up with 12GB of video memory. These cards deliver up to 203 and 233 peak AI performance, respectively, and are designed for smooth 1080p and 1440p gaming.

Compared to Intel’s first-generation Arc desktop graphics cards, the B-series GPUs boast a 70 percent performance increase per Xe core and are an average of 24 percent faster in 1440p gaming.

Both models also feature second-generation ray tracing, which provides more realistic lighting effects. Arc B series cards feature XeSS 2 upscaling technology, supported by over 150 video games. Users can also explore Intel’s AI Playground and run generative AI models locally on PCs equipped with the latest Intel graphics cards.
