Investigators find child pornography during burglary investigation | News

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Investigators found labeled photos and diary entries containing child pornography while searching for evidence of a break-in.

According to Pennsylvania State Trooper Chad Harpster, the diary was found on November 9th while police were investigating Kyle Francis Gray. Entries in the book found in Gray’s backpack described the 34-year-old’s rape of a 9-year-old child, Harpster added.

Gray was arrested on Nov. 12 for drug possession and taken to the PSP Lamar barracks for questioning. Gray allegedly told officers that there were images on his cell phone that they could interpret as child pornography, Harpster wrote in his report.

According to Harpster, Gray refused to show it to police unless he could subsequently delete the photos. During the interview, police confiscated two cell phones from Gray.

On Nov. 14, police obtained a warrant for Gray’s home in the 100 block of West Park Street in Lock Haven. According to police, two additional cell phones and three SIM cards were seized from the property.

According to court documents, the items contained labeled photos of child pornography. Gray reportedly wrote the captions himself.

Gray is being held at the Clinton County Correctional Facility on $75,000 bail. He is accused of photographing sexual acts on children and child pornography.
