Is streaming “queer”? Where to watch Daniel Craig’s unlikely new role

Daniel Craig returns to his drama roots at A24 Strange. Based on the novel by William S. BurroughsThe hot and fuzzy film travels back to 1950s Mexico City, where an American expat named William Lee (Craig) is as lonely as he can be. Although surrounded by a small but crowded American community, he spends his late forties without company. Amid the dimly lit nights and the comfort of solitude, Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey), a young gentleman with glasses shows up in town with nothing but warm eyes and a cheeky smile. A fire ignites in William’s soul, but if not handled carefully, the flames could set William on fire.

Is streaming “queer”?

Currently A24 has not yet announced when Strange will come across streaming. However, the film could probably end up with Max after its theatrical release. Back in December 2023, A24 partnered with giants HBO and Max and offered to grant these distributors exclusive streaming rights for their releases. Is “Queer” in the cinema?

Strange is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in the United States November 27, 2024. Previously, the film premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 3, 2024.

Disney’s will also be in cinemas on November 27th Moana 2and takes the audience back to the pristine waters of Oceania. The sequel is set three years after the events of the first film and follows Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) and Maui (Dwayne Johnson), as they set off on a new adventure with a motley crew of modestly experienced sailors. When Moana receives a spiritual awakening from her seafaring ancestors, Moana is drawn into the water and embarks on a journey unlike anything she has ever undertaken before.

Hot on the heels of his debut comes the highly anticipated book Wicked: Part Iwhich hit theaters on November 22, 2024. The film adaptation of the stage musical by Stephen Schwartz And Winnie Holzman follows Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp, an intelligent but misunderstood young woman with green skin who crosses paths with the much more lively, popular and outgoing Glinda Upland (Ariana Grande). Adaptation of Burroughs’ long-unpublished novel, Strange is not a simple love story. It’s a story about how infatuation can be so intoxicating that it leads to obsession and the slightest taste of it can become an addiction. Hopping from one bar to the next in search of meaningful company in a desolate world, Strange describes the shattering pain of longing for the unknown and the budding love that cannot be reciprocated.
