Is the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies rivalry on the same level as Alabama and Auburn?

The Oregon Ducks have an opportunity to complete their undefeated regular season against their rival Washington Huskies on senior night at Autzen Stadium.

The Pacific Northwest rivalry dates back to December 1, 1900, when the Ducks defeated the Huskies 43-0. At 63-48-5, Washington is far and away at the top of the rivalry.

Oregon coach Dan Lanning has yet to win against Washington in his career since taking over as Ducks coach in 2022, with a 0-3 record. That makes for an even more exciting atmosphere in Eugene, but where does this game rank among the best rivalries college football has to offer?

Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns

The Longhorns defeated the Sooners 34-3 in the Cotton Bowl on October 12th. Texas leads the all-time series over Oklahoma 64-51-5.

Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

This is the most historic and popular rivalry the Big Ten Conference has to offer. Michigan sits atop the all-time series over Ohio State at 61-51-6. The two will face off on Saturday, and the Buckeyes need a win (or a loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions or the Indiana Hoosiers) to secure their place in the Big Ten Conference championship against the Ducks.

The Iron Bowl rivalry has the Crimson Tide in control at 50-37-1, but Alabama coach Kalen Deboer needs a win Saturday to keep his team’s College Football Playoff hopes alive.
