Jaguar’s all-electric GT concept car has been leaked ahead of its official debut

The new Jaguar GT concept car has been leaked online ahead of its official unveiling, scheduled for 1am UK time tomorrow.

This marks a significant moment in Jaguar’s ambitious rebranding as the iconic British car manufacturer transforms into an all-electric luxury brand. News.Az reports citing foreign media.

The news has already caused quite a stir, and the stunning design of this three-door coupe is sure to keep Jaguar’s prominent place in the automotive headlines.

The full design images that have surfaced on social media confirm what we had already seen in a number of teaser images, namely that the front and rear fascias are dominated by large rectangular slatted grilles.

The front end features slim headlights, but the complete lack of light beams at the rear suggests that the lighting elements will be housed in the grille itself. Other standout design elements include the long hood and the wraparound, pillarless glass house that supports the curved roof.

The leaked images also provide a glimpse of the Jaguar GT’s extremely minimalist interior, with its diamond-shaped steering wheel and almost complete lack of switchgear. The driver and passenger seats appear to be separated by a high center console with gold metallic trim at the top.

The Jaguar concept will be fully unveiled at Miami Art Week on December 3rd and represents the drastic change from the Jaguar norm that everyone was expecting based on the teaser campaign.

The GT concept car hints at the future design direction of Jaguar, which has stopped selling its entire new car range in the UK before relaunching as an all-electric luxury car brand.

The first production car in Jaguar’s new all-electric range will be a four-door GT with a range of more than 400 miles, which will cost around £130,000 and is due to be unveiled next year. This car is expected to hit the road by the end of 2026 and two more models will be added in the following 18 months.

The four-door has already begun road testing, with Jaguar releasing shots of a heavily camouflaged prototype with a steep front end and long hood, features we’d expect to see when the concept car is unveiled.

The first stage of the renewed Jaguar brand was recently unveiled when, alongside the “crossed out” design feature, it also unveiled its new signature – controversially spelled JaGuar – as well as its new slogan “Copy Nothing”.

According to Jaguar: “This ethos has its roots in 1935 and is based on unexpected and original thinking and a brand character that attracts attention through fearless creativity.”
