Every James Bond film promised us that “James Bond will return”. In view of the latest news that Amazon MGM has taken over creative control over the character, it seems clear that these words, during the next Bond film, are still a long way. But just what James Bond will look like when he returns is a big question.

There have been many opinions about how James Bond has to change with a new generation, but Naomie Harris, who played Moneypenny during the Daniel Craig Years, hopes that everyone who is occupied does not modernize the franchise too much.

Naomie Harris does not want a “modern” bond

Naomie Harris appeared in three by Daniel Craig’s Bond films as a classic bond character Moneypenny. Shortly after announced that Amazon MGM took over the franchise, she spoke to Harpers Bazaar and Harris had a certain hope for the bond that the character retains the “classic elements” that fans know and love. I just hope that you don’t try to make it too modern – we all grew up with Bond, and I think these classic elements are needed so that people can connect with it.

As Harris says, Bond has largely lasted because of the classic elements that fans love. So one hopes that things will not change so much.

Of course, a lot will probably depend on who will be occupied as the next James Bond. Naomie Harris for her part has an idea as one of her co-stars in her latest film. Black bagShe believes that she would be a solid choice. As she put it:

The Regé Jean side has been associated with bond rumors since Daniel Craig. There is no argument that he looks good in a suit and that this “classic elements” would probably pull through quite well.

While all the signs are that James Bond remains male, the possibility of an ethnically diverse new bond is not quite off the table, so playing on the side is at least theoretically possible.
