Jason Narducy returns to the REM tribute concert in Evanston

Music was always important for Narducy. “Evanston is also so unique, or at that time it was when there were great record shops such as the record exchange on Dempster who had Rock Records. But we could find the music we were interested in, ”he said. “I am sure there are many cities in 1983, 1982 in America in which this was not possible. So we had very, very happy to be in Evanston and to have supporting parents and neighbors. ”

Since the band was in the early teenage age, they practiced in the bedrooms and garages of the other, in which their neighbors definitely heard them. The band played in the Hemenway Church and the Roycemore School before raging to Chicago’s venues, including The Cubby Bear.

One thing that Narducy learned early was the camaraderie to play music with his friends.

“There is nothing comparable. And it is interesting, there is a kind of parallel to sports teams. When you read interviews with retired athletes, miss the game, but they miss the camaraderie even more. And if you are lucky enough to play in a band that gets on, it’s pretty wonderful. “
