Questions remain about the identity of “Celebrity B” after Jay-Z was recently named in a sexual assault lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The lawsuit originally stated that Diddy raped the minor while “Celebrity A” and “Celebrity B” watched. Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, was named as “Celebrity A” in the refiled lawsuit. The lawsuit was refiled on Sunday new York by an anonymous accuser who claims Jay-Z “raped” her while Diddy and “Celebrity B” watched.

It remains to be seen who “Celebrity B” is, but defense attorney Julia Jayne told Fox News Digital that the woman is “100% legal and is probably looking at a demand letter.”

The accuser alleged that a “female celebrity” attended an after-party after the MTV VMAs in 2000 and “watched as Combs and Carter took turns attacking the minor,” according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

“Plaintiff was restrained by Carter as he vaginally raped her while Combs and Celebrity B watched,” the lawsuit states. “After Carter finished, he stepped back toward the wall. Combs then stepped forward and vaginally raped plaintiff while Carter and Celebrity B watched.”

Jayne noted that “Celebrity B” was unlikely to come forward “as it would drag that celebrity’s name into the mud.”

“This celebrity’s name will probably be revealed, but no celebrity wants to be associated with this case, even as a witness,” Jayne said. “That would be negative publicity.”

Oleg Nekritin, a defense attorney at the law firm of Robert J. DeGroot, told Fox News Digital that most lawyers “will tell the celebrity that they have to fight like hell, first quietly and then, when named, loudly.”

“An allegation of aiding or abetting a sexual assault on a minor is terrible for someone’s reputation and career,” Nekritin said. “If the celebrity settles the case, it will be viewed as a tacit admission of wrongdoing. Unless there is credible evidence of wrongdoing, the celebrity will not attempt to settle this case. Instead, the celebrity will try to fight and protect her name.”

He added: “There will be no chance of this celebrity cooperating with the plaintiff unless there is substantial evidence of the celebrity’s misconduct.”

Defense lawyer Lauren Johnson-Norris pointed out that the identity of “Celebrity B” may already be clear.

“Every prominent witness in this case has now consulted with an attorney,” Johnson-Norris told Fox News Digital. “We can only guess to what extent Celebrity B was interviewed by the plaintiff or whether Celebrity B is already working with the plaintiff’s team. It remains to be seen whether celebrity B will say she was there of her own free will or whether she was also a victim.

A day after the “Run This Town” rapper was implicated in the sexual assault case, Jay-Z filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital. He also asked the court to reject the plaintiff’s request to proceed anonymously.
