Jeffersonville murder suspect’s girlfriend is missing, police say

Police are still searching for a Jeffersonville murder suspect, but now also for his missing girlfriend. Jefferson police said Thursday that they are still searching for 19-year-old Anthony White in connection with the murder of LaWayne Brownlee, 33. Brownlee was shot Nov. 21 in the 200 block of Kopp Avenue. Police said he was taken to the hospital where he died. Police hope to find White to make an arrest, but also want to locate his girlfriend, Andre’a Peoples, 19. They said her family reported her missing in December. 2. She is not considered a suspect in the case, but rather a missing person. The individuals are described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. She was last seen near 6th and Broadway in Louisville on November 22, the day after the murder. She wore a black hoodie, white heart pants and brown UGG slippers. As for White, police believe he is no longer in Jeffersonville. They also said his relationship with the victim was criminal in nature, but did not elaborate. White people should be viewed as armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about either person is urged to call police.

Jefferson police said Thursday they are still searching for 19-year-old Anthony White in connection with the murder of 33-year-old LaWayne Brownlee.
